St Pauli blew a chance to consolidate their grip on an automatic promotion place on Easter Monday. Earlier in the same round of games their closest pursuers Augsburg could only draw at home. If St Pauli could have won at Dusseldorf they would have been 4 points clear in 2nd place and 12 ahead of 4th place, with only 5 games left. However in front of an amazing crowd of 45,000 a determined Dusseldorf kept themselves in that 4th place with a 1-0 over the men in brown who thus are only one point ahead of Augsburg. However they have the chance to create that 4 point gap on Monday 12th April when they are at home to Augsburg. A win then should make it fairly certain that St Pauli would attain automatic promotion.

Hangzhou Greentown, the Chinese club captained by Du Wei that play in green and white have started the new Chinese Super League season with an away 4-2 defeat to a strong Shandong Luneng, followed up by a 1-1 home draw against Changsha Ginde. Already their two opponents are the top two clubs in the league. Following their fortunes on the internet can be a confusing matter as sometimes the club are referred to as Hangzhou Lucheng or even Zhieang Lucheng but a quick check of the club crest confirms they are indeed Greentown. Hopefully as the new recruits, not only Du Wei but the three Hondurans, settle into their new surroundings in the Hangzhou stadium their results will improve and they can consolidate themselves in the Super League
